The Lodge is named after Stanboroughs House in Hoddesdon where the Lodge was conceived in 1991 by friends who regularly met there in the Conservative Club and where the Lodge of Instruction continues to meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month except August.
The Lodge Crest is a representation of the front elevation of the building and the Badge represents the Borough of Broxboume in which Stanboroughs House is situated. The motto 'Patience and Industry Will Entitle' is well known to Master Masons reflecting the time and effort required in producing something worthwhile such as the Founding of a new Lodge
