St. Augustine's Lodge was founded when it was realised that several members of the congregation of St. Augustine's Church, Broxboume, were also members of various local Lodges. The first meeting took place in 1973, and at the Consecration twenty two Founder Members were present. The ceremony was performed by the Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro Guy Halsey. The Church features in the crest of the Lodge, on correspondence and also on the Banner designed by W. Bro John Snelgrove PAGStdB and produced and dedicated in 1986. The First Worshipful Master was W. Bro Leonard Groome, OBE, PAGDC.
