The Lodge was consecrated at St. Albans School under the Sponsorship of Halsey Lodge No. 1479, to perpetuate the name of the Halsey Family. The Address to the Brethren was delivered by RW Bro Guy M Halsey, Provincial Grand Master from 1974 to 1984, for the last time before his death some six months later. During the Ceremony, Bro Halsey presented to the Lodge his personal Standard which occupies pride of place at all Lodge meetings. A link with Sponsoring and Sister Lodges was established by the Installation as First Master of W. Bro G A Goodman, a Past Master of Halsey and an Old Albanian.

The Lodge sponsored and is responsible for the administration of the Hertfordshire Provincial Choir.

Guy Marsden Halsey Lodge (9369) establish their First Past Masters Breast Jewels.

Monday December 6th 2004, was a special day for the Guy Marsden Halsey Lodge for a number of reasons:

It was the Lodge`s Installation day and Grand Officer and Founder Member of the Lodge, Colin Childs, was the new incoming Master.

The Lodge was also honoured with the presence of the RW Provincial Grand Master, Colin Harris, his escort, W Bro. David Ferris and his "minders", Sword Bearer, Standard Bearer and Stewards. Very colourful and added much to the occasion.

For the first time and with the assistance of the Halsey Lodge 1479, who are honoured to carry the same Halsey family coat of arms on their Past Masters breast jewels, two Guy Marsden Halsey PM jewels were presented by the PGM.  One to the outgoing Master, John Rathbone and a second to his predecessor, Steve Dorling.

The jewels were beautifully crafted by Toye Kenning and Spencer and the recipients were rightly proud of them and the manner in which they were presented by the PGM.

Three members of the same family were successfully balloted during the meeting, father, Stanley Frake and sons, Kenneth and Barry. We will hear more of them in the future, I am sure.

This proved to be a very happy and successful meeting especially in view of the number of guests which altogether made a total of some 56 attending. The meeting was followed by a traditional Christmas dinner, without the turkey, substituted by succulent pork chops for a change.

The waitresses, dimmed the lights towards the end of the dinner and entered with hot mince pies illuminated with brilliant sparklers, a very festive end to the event.
