The first suggestion to form Croxley Green Lodge was by W. Bro Derek Maclean P M 2012. Advice was sought from W. Bro J Caldwell ProvGDC at regular Sunday (work) mornings at Ashwell House. W. Bro J Caldwell introduced W. Bro Len Bradberry, first Director of Ceremonies, W. Bro J Quilter, first Worshipful Master, W. Bro L McKerrow and Bro W Cook. The nucleus was born.
Preliminary meetings were held at The Fox and Hounds and Red House hostelries, with the final selection meeting at The Sportsman Public House annexe. W. Bro E Gurney was Founding Secretary.
The Croxley Green Parish Church on the green was selected as the Crest, with artist Tom Moult commissioned to produce a suitable painting.
