The Lodge Emblem as shown is when the Army and Navy had the same emblem. The Lodge Banner is double sided old side 'Army and Navy's new side 'Bombay'.
The Lodge was formed and consecrated in 1913 in Bombay, India, as Army and Navy Lodge for Masonic pleasure of Army and Navy personnel stationed in and near Bombay, with the Founder Members mainly from the Sherwood Foresters Regiment. It was transferred to England because of falling membership and political competition from the Grand Lodge of India in 1968. The Lodge's name had to be changed to 'Bombay' as an 'Army and Navy' Lodge already existed in London. It was transferred to Hertfordshire in 1982 due to falling support as a London Lodge.
