George Laverick

Provincial Grand Orator

As secretary of Veritatem Sequere Lodge, George Laverick controls a speakers’ panel with an active core of 10 members. There are 39 orations covering the three degrees, all of which must be delivered without deviation.

George, who lives in St Albans, was born in Sunderland and is probably the nearest the province will get to having an operative mason through his post as clerk of works at the magnificent St Albans Abbey.

George is a past master of Halsey Lodge – just one of his impressive list of masonic affiliations. These include Royal Arch, Royal Ark Mariner, the Mark, Knights Templar, Knights Templar Priests, Rose Croix, Royal and Select Masters, Red Cross of Constantine, Royal Order of Scotland and Operatives (Waltham Abbey).

The Provincial Orator and his team are always available to offer their services to lodges without normal work, and can be contacted via the Provincial Office on 01727 833061.
