George-Laverick

Provincial Senior Grand Warden

George was initiated into Londonderry Lodge No 2039 in the Province of Durham in 1972, quickly followed by exaltation into Londonderry Chapter in 1974.

A move South due to work brought his Masonic life to Hertfordshire, London and Middlesex, where his craft Lodges include: Halsey Lodge No. 1479 (Past Master), St Albans Lodge No. 2786 (Past Master) Chequered Cloth Lodge No. 5569 (Past Master), Veritatem Sequere Lodge No. 9615 (Past Master), Herts. Masters’ Lodge No. 4090, Herts. Provincial Grand Stewards’ Lodge No. 8984, Nevill Lodge No. 9411,
Temple of Athene Lodge No. 9541 and most recently City of London Lodge of Installed Masters No. 8220.

He is involved in many other Orders including Chapter, Mark, RAM, KT, KTP, Rose Croix, Allied Masonic Degrees, Societas Rosicruciana In Anglia, Operatives, Spiritual Knights, Royal Order of Scotland, Red Cross of Constantine, Royal and Select Masters and the Scottish Rectified Rite (Belgium) .

George is a Citizen and Mason of London through The Worshipful Company of Masons where he is very active on the Craft Awards Panel.

He is also still holding down a full time job as Clerk of the Works at the Cathedral and Abbey Church of St Albans at this very exciting time when the new Visitor Centre is being built.

When time permits George still has a season ticket at Sunderland Football Club (which explains why he prefers Freemasonry at the minute!).

Married to Chrissy, he has a son and a daughter and 3 grandsons.
