Provincial Grand Charity Steward

Chris Noble took up the office of Provincial Grand Charity Steward in September 2013, and will guide the Province through the 2019 Festival in aid of the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys. Chris was born in St Albans, and has lived there, or in nearby villages, all of his life. His introduction to Freemasonry was through his father, who was a member of Park Street Lodge No 8556 and he was Initiated into the Lodge in September 1985. He became the Worshipful Master in 1995, subsequently serving the Lodge as both Assistant DC and DC before becoming its Charity Steward in 2004, an office he has also held in United Arts Rifles Lodge and Silver Jubilee Chapter. Outside the Province Chris is a member of three Lodges in the Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London, a Past Master of two, holds Senior London Grand Rank and is a Visiting Officer. He is a member of the Royal Arch in the Provinces of Hertfordshire and Middlesex as well as Metropolitan Grand Chapter. As if he is not busy enough, Chris is a Health & Safety and Registration committee member for the Masonic Fishing Charity Hertfordshire Branch (MTSFC) and member of the Provincial presentation team. Chris is married to Jayne, they have three sons, one daughter and eight grandchildren. Chris Initiated his younger son Scott, into Park Street Lodge in 2012. He started his working life at BHS as a member of their Graduate Scheme, moving to the construction industry (electrical) , he then worked for an electrical manufacturing company where he remained for 25 years retiring as their National Sales Manager in 2012. Chris spent some twenty seasons as a football referee but now restricts his sporting activity to golf, which he claims to play badly but enjoys.
