This club, which is a Registered Charity, is set up entirely to take disabled and disadvantaged young people on a days fishing. The Club's work has proved very successful and this year held 24 events in 10 different Provinces, taking out around 500 participants. The Club which is entirely funded by donations from Masonic lodges and individuals, continues to gain strength. The Pro Grand Master who is their Patron attended a special day held this year at Castle Ashby together with the Grand Master.
In order to spread the work of the Club a new lodge was consecrated on the 6th February 2004 - Lodge of Opportunity No. 9777. The lodge is a travelling lodge and its main aim will to be to promote the spread of more events in Provinces where an interest is shown. Ultimately it is hoped that events for disabled and disadvantaged people will spread to many other Provinces and suitable waters and people to organise activities will be sought by visits of the Lodge to that Province.
