The Golden Jubilee Meeting of the lodge was well attended by our standards, with an impressive 51 present. From the Province we had Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro Colin Harris, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, WBro Allan Atkinson, Provincial grand Secretary, WBro. Derrick Flowers, the Provincial Deputy Grand DC, WBro. Keith Hunt, Provincial Grand Standard Bearer, W.Bro. R. Wedgbury with W.Bro. A Dewhurst acting as the Provincial Grand Sword Bearer. Amongst the other 25 guests was VWBro. S.E.E. Tuck, PGSwdB.
Due to the fact that our WM, Peter Robson had passed to the Grand Lodge Above a few weeks prior; the chair for this Jubilee Meeting was taken by WBro. Wally J. Instrall, PPJGW, who received from the PGM the 50 year certificate. He then presented the PGM with a cheque to commence the Lodge's commencement to the 2009 Festival.
After an interesting meeting which reflected on the high of the first fifty years, all retired for the Festive Board where mementos of the occasion were given out.
