A close association had been formed between the Founding members and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. This affinity gave rise to the Lodge's name, as Northumberland Park borders the Spurs. They were precluded from using the Club's name. Consecrated as a London Lodge by RW Bro the Hon E L Ballieu, Assistant Grand Master, it used to meet in the Club's restaurant. However, in order to safeguard its future, the Lodge transferred to its present home, the Masonic Centre, Cheshunt on 5th January 1988, and to the Province of Hertfordshire in November 1988.
