Dacre Lodge No. 2086 Host Danish Visitors

18 April, 2016

On Saturday 16th of April Dacre Lodge No. 2086 was extremely proud to receive a contingent of Brethren from Denmark to witness the Passing of one of it’s members.

The Danes descended on The Cloisters in great form arriving in their glorious Masonic dress of colour, style, sophistication, top hats and the occasional skull and crossbones!

They were welcomed with the usual Happy Hertfordshire greeting and were made to feel welcome and during the ceremony were encouraged to use their own signs, something that did throw the Junior Warden when being asked to prove the Brethren! Something that the Assistant Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, Tony Nutley, was more than happy to point out!

The Worshipful Master, W.Bro Tony Walker stated that it was his pleasure to receive the Brethren from Denmark to witness the Passing of his son, he has invited them all back to, hopefully, witness the Initiation of his other son next year.

The international Brethren proved their generosity by presenting the Worshipful Master with a very kind gift of a Danish medal and he reciprocated with a copy of the ‘Happy Hertfordshire’ book and lapel pins of The Cloisters.

Dace Lodge would like to thank W.Bro Svend Jensen PAGDC for helping to organise the trip and allowing the Dacre Lodge to host the Brethren.

Below is a picture of some of the visitors and members of the Lodge.
